On Saturday October 22, 2016... A Protest Rally directed at the Ontario Government's move to force it's citizens to pay an irrational price increase for Hydro will take place in Gage Park, Hamilton. The Ontario Government is claiming that they must make this move to manage the "debt". A debt ensued by their error of privatizing Hydro to (mostly) foreign and local buyers. The government is being pressured by the buyers to inflate share prices so profits can be made at the expense and stress of their citizens. The Ontario Government has also provided high interest loans for buyers to purchase such shares; in-turn creating more debt. This aggressive Government action to demand more money for the use of electricity will push the majority of Ontario's population into more debt and eventually bankruptcy. Expect a "dominos" effect as some businesses will close and education programs cease because much of the existing budgets are strained and can not hold anymore financial burdens. Every service where electricity is used will be effected. In turn the cost of living will also increase. The average Ontario family can not afford such a massive increase as proposed by the current Ontario Government.
